Core Leaders

James Faddes

JamesMy wife, Yvonne, and I moved to Bishopbriggs Community Church in 2016 with our three daughters and Dalmatian dog, and then we had a son in 2017.

As the Church Leader I work closely with this amazing team of leaders. I previously served as the Pastor of Leslie Baptist Church for five years. Before that I was the Team Leader of The Ark, an alcohol free nightclub in Ayr, pioneered by twelve local churches working in partnership to reach out to the youth of Ayrshire.

Originally from Irvine, I studied practical theology at the former International Christian College. I then did post graduate alcohol and drug studies at the former Paisley Uni, before becoming a community drugs worker in North Ayrshire. I also underwent additional ministry studies at the Scottish Baptist College before becoming a minister.

I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, riding a motorcycle (preferably in the sun!), preaching, playing guitar, leading worship, doing theology, fishing, and I like to be politically engaged. Having initially come to faith through the ministry of Prison Fellowship, I have a special concern for prisoners, addicts, and others on the margins of society.

My passion is to mobilise missionary disciples to see the nation of Scotland transformed by the love and power of Jesus, and to go to the ends of the earth with the Good News – the great commandment and the great commission!

Heidi Cochrane

HeidiI oversee the Kids’ work at BCC, alongside my husband, Fraser.  I head up a talented team who run an annual summer club called Park Week for primary school children within our local community.  Since BCC established links with community groups in Rwanda, I have organised church trips to continue the good links already made.  I am a primary school teacher in a local primary school one day a week and enjoy looking after my three boys the rest of the week.
