Rainbow Tots is our friendly baby and toddler group.  It is run by a team of volunteers for mums, dads, grandparents, carers, child-minders, nannies etc. and their 0-3 year olds.  The group runs on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, downstairs in the crèche room.  We currently have over thirty children attending and unfortunately also have a significant waiting list.  The children enjoy socialising, free play, crafts, circle times and snacks.  The adults also enjoy all these activities, but most of all they like having a chance to meet people, make friends, and drink a cup of coffee before it goes cold!

The room is usually a hubbub of friendly conversation and excited chatter. The group enables new parents to connect with others who can empathize with their sleepless nights, grandparents to connect with others in similar situations, and toddlers the chance to learn the sophisticated art of sharing toys.  Each session has a time of free play followed by craft and circle time in which the children use all their senses to learn about various topics.

Rainbow Tots is invaluable to so many parents and carers of young children, and some make long-lasting friendships as their children get older and move on.  Visitors to the group often comment on the welcoming atmosphere, and group members say they appreciate the safe, well-resourced room.  Our opening song sums up the group’s activities:
