Another suggestion is to record yourself and then listen back as you go.

In his profoundly challenging book 'Dissident Discipleship - A Spirituality of Self-Surrender, Love of God, and Love of Neighbour', the author, David Augsburger, introduces us to the practice of peditation:

Peditation is a meditative walk, in which you simply meditate while walking.

Why not give it a try?

 

Copy or print out the following parables on a sheet of paper. 

Then, as you head out each day, walk to the parable in peditation, asking "When, where, how do I do the same?"

 

Rhythm for walking to the text: recite a line of three syllables, rest, then recite the next line of three syllables:

 

1,2,3, rest, 1,2,3, rest, etc.
